All this code runs on powerful servers that host the back-end and respond to requests made without any delay.

 

3. The Database

The database is the organised storage system for all the information your application needs. The job of a database is to store every piece of data, from user accounts and passwords to product inventories, customer orders, and blog posts, so that it can be retrieved quickly. 

There are different types of databases. Relational databases store data in structured tables with rows and columns, much like spreadsheets. On the other hand, non-relational databases are more flexible and store data in various formats, like documents, without rigid tables.
